Before starting any douching session, do not forget to check the temperature. Take note that the mucosal lining of the intestines and colon is more sensitive than the skin outside the body. This means that if the body can tolerate a hot shower, using the same temperature for douching can burn you inside.
Make sure to test the temperature of the water first with the hand. Adjust the temperature until it feels lukewarm.

When douching, see to it that you are close or near the shower or toilet. To start, stand in front of the toilet. Put your dominant leg up on the toilet. Once you already loosen up your butt, gently insert the nozzle with lube into your butt. Then, slowly squeeze the bulb to release or squirt in the liquid. After that, pull out the nozzle.
Try to hold the liquid inside. If you can’t, sit down on the toilet immediately. But if you can, try to jump up and down before sitting on the toilet. Do this carefully to avoid injury.
After douching, most of the water will immediately come out of your butt. However, you won’t be able to have sex right after douching. Wait until all the water that was squirted inside will come out. An hour or so may be enough to make sure that all water comes out.
